How did you come about in finding and bringing back the old brand of Highspire?
Knowing we wanted to create a 100% rye whiskey, we had done much research and stumbled across Highspire and the Wilson Distilling Company. Everything we learned was very interesting to us and it made sense to bring this great whiskey back for people to enjoy once again.
Why have you come out with an younger rye that has not been aged for at least 4 years?
Simply put, rye is a unique grain that expresses many qualities in taste. We believe when using a 100% rye grain mash bill, we found that swiftly aging our whiskey brings out the true rye flavor.
